but it seems like that mostly gets me results for 100% cotton no-stretch (an improvement, but not what I'm shooting for)

an awful lot of what I'm finding is more on the order of like 91% cotton 7% polyester 2% spandex/elastane/etc. sometimes cotton as low as 78%

Inexpensive but good basics
Was kind of overused for a while so the advice around here moved more toward encouraging experimentation. But "I just want to be a little more put together and I'm not sure about more specific preferences yet" is the exact advice it's geared toward

I should add I have a very strong prescription so traditionally I've gone with small lenses + acetate frames to avoid the cokebottle look, although IDK, if lenses have gotten thinner over time that might be less of a concern
