overcoat advice
Spier and mackay has the best value imo. If your budget is USD look at cordings or brooks brothers.
I highly recommend getting a coat that falls below the knee.

is this balmacaan too big?
It probably flares out because it’s too small in the waist. You could also try wearing fuller pants which would make the flare look less pronounced

Does a buttoned coat vent have any practical purpose?
I have one on an ulster coat. It makes sitting down easier while open and the coat is warmer/drapes better while buttoned

Help Me Choose: Darker vs. Lighter Khaki/Olive Green Chinos - Which One Wins?
Chinos are great because they can be dressed up. For that reason I prefer lighter to avoid visible fading. They also work better with a darker jacket.

Sport coat too long?
No, a jacket should cover your rear.

Is a sports jacket + dress shirt + Chinos/khakis + dress shoes too much for Biz Casual?

Cordings Rise
Thank you! A little disappointing as I’d hoped for at least an 11.5 but that’s certainly workable. Peter Christian seems to be a budget option but I’ll have to ask my tailor if he can take in an elastic waistband.

Can these boots be subbed for black Oxfords?
Depends on the derby or blucher! I don’t wear a lot of black outside of with a suit, but these I’d wear with anything dressier than jeans.

Can these boots be subbed for black Oxfords?
Yes, insofar as you’re trying to fill the same niche as black oxfords. Smooth leather is generally more formal than textured.

Can these boots be subbed for black Oxfords?
Not strictly. The leather has a texture to it, there’s a contrasting midsole, and it uses blucher constructed. I’d wear it in lieu of black derby’s or bluchers, with a more casual suit or odd trousers.
