Sway fails to start

I have tested out the track and it works. Like you said before it's probably an issue with your GPU.

The Arch page says Sway depends on Cairo yet I don't see it in your track anywhere, is that possibly the cause?

Which option did you put it under in the system.yaml file? packages or aur-packages

virt-manager refuses to communicate with o. s.

That's correct. It should be installed on the host. I am unfamiliar with qemu so I am unsure as to what is causing this.
