loafers under 150
You may can get something from Beckett Simonon for around that price. They are very high quality, ik they get shilled but I have a pair of their chukka boots and they’re the best boots I own

is it worth it to buy a suit if I am actively trying to lose weight?
Well yeah, that’s why I said to save up while losing weight. I’ve lost 40 lbs and it can take 6 months to a year. I think saving for something higher quality and versatile is a better investment. However it’s totally his choice. Suit supply makes decent stuff and he could go with 2 suits saving up while he cuts down.

The suit op is looking at is about 400 dollars. All I’m saying is while he’s losing weight he can save up for a nicer suit. There are a few tailors in my area that do bespoke starting around $1k. Granted that depends on the materials you pick but a suit will last you years if not decades, might as well invest in it and get something that fits you perfectly, made of high quality materials

What leather shoe care kit would you recommend?
Buy Saphir Renuvatour, a Saphir shoe cream that matches the color of the leather closely, and Saphir neutral polish. Next an old rag/sock and 2 horse hair brushes for cleaning and buffing. I’d also invest in shoe trees to help the uppers last longer.

I would hold off for now if you’re actively losing weight. Maybe even save up more for something bespoke. There are many closets filled with clothes people plan to wear when they lose weight and if life happens and you aren’t able to wear it, you’ve thrown that money away

UK MFAers, where do you shop?
American but I love a lot of British clothing. I buy a lot of my shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt. I also have a Barbour jacket for when it’s raining/cool outside.
