I know Adrian’s and Weejuns exist for 150 but are there any recs for loafers under 150? If not I’m just buying the weejuns.

Weejuns can be had for very cheap on ebay never pay retail for them
And on US ebay at least there is a huge amount if them
If you're looking for < $150 you can browse eBay until you see something you like
I've never tried them but tbh I'm tempted by ll bean's offerings (does anyone have experience with their loafers?) plenty sub 150 on their website rn
nothing patent black though which might be what you're after?
Patent is a whole thing. Unsure if OP wants that
I would usually recommend ebay. Problem is that loafers need much better fit than most shoes to work properly. I like to try them on in store ...
Tons of Allen Edmonds loafers on ebay for under 150. Gotta make sure you know sizing though, unless the seller accepts returns
You may can get something from Beckett Simonon for around that price. They are very high quality, ik they get shilled but I have a pair of their chukka boots and they’re the best boots I own
BS provides outsized results for the price they charge, and I own three pairs from them. However, I would not call them "very high quality." Rather, good quality for price.
Catch Meermin in a sale. Just picked up some Museum Calf Penny's from them for $160 shipped.
I think Meermin and BS might be too formal for me, I work fully remote now so I dress very casually 99% of the time
I’m open to any type of leather as long as it’s black/ brown/ burgundy. Preferably brown or burgundy actually
Heard. Nice feedback. I hear you about the formalness of the loafer. In that case, Can you post a photo of the general idea of what you're looking for?
search allen edmonds cavanaugh on ebay
Youre not looking at the right shoes then
A lot of cheap loafers are made from leather with a high shine coating on them, most weejuns included. Something in proper calf leather will prove a better bet in the long run. For $150 that likely means buying used from eBay.
