Where the toes end isn't important in sizing. You want the widest part of your foot to line up with the widest part of the shoe.

How does buying a suit from Suitsupply work?
If you have a store nearby it's probably your best bet. You can go and try and buy a suit and walk out with it, but if it needs alterations they can do them in store. You'd just have to go pick it up at a later date.

Hemming pants at the cleaners
My tailor does a chalk line, I've had other use a safety pin. I know what inseam I want so I usually just tell them, they measure and mark.

I am moving this month so this is something I am dealing with. I have gotten rid of a lot of stuff that does not fit from my early MFA days. LuxeSwap is my go to for purging nicer items. The rest I give to GoodWill.
