Looking for derbies
I'm looking for my first pair of derbies as a more casual shoe besides sneakers.
I'm still ironing out my personal style but Ihere's some pieces that I like, hopefully it helps narrow down the aesthetic https://imgur.com/a/YROhzMB. I like sleek, but not too formal.
I don't like the look of 5 eyelet derbies because it makes the quarter(? the lace area) look too large and busy for my liking. 4 eyelet feels like a sweetspot for me, something like https://www.heschung.com/en/derby/2021-crocus-black-anilcalf-ravel.html. Been looking at C&J and https://us.crockettandjones.com/collections/mens-derbys-collection/products/aintree-3-black-calf seems alright, although 3 eyelet feels like it's too few.
In terms of budget, I'd say 500-700 USD range is alright. I'm located in Toronto, Canada so it's a bit difficult to try many brands. Will be going to New York in March so I can add stores to my itinerary

Clothing iron
I've been using a clothing steamer with passable results but I've gotten more linen shirts recently and I think I gotta get an actual iron. Any recs? Was hoping there would be more of a concensus online (wirecutter, etc.) but it's been scattered. Recommendations for blouson jackets
I missed out on https://www.grailed.com/listings/35769688-james-coward-black-superfine-merino-wool-mari-jacket years back, but I think it's the closest to what I want. Point collar, slim-regular fit (not oversized), preferably no waistband nor ribbed cuffs. I loved the drape of the wool jacket but open to diff materials to fit in a more minimialist wardrobe. Budget of... let's say around $500?🙂
