Womenswear vs Menswear - Topic of the day 12/22/24
In a broader sense I think the distinction between menswear and womenswear is purely marketing m and the only times I find myself functionally unable to wear something from the womenswear section is usually related to pants pockets

Womenswear vs Menswear - Topic of the day 12/22/24
I really liked the no man walks alone Chinatown campaign. my gf and I trade clothes sometimes and seeing inspo like that always makes us think to try stuff from each other’s closets that we might not gravitate to normally. https://nomanwalksalone.com/blogs/look-books/fall-winter-24-editorial-chinatown?srsltid=AfmBOop_HLOuNgK8zsW5UC5lKHfJhkL3cdVXCcUE0-NVngN4KEhh3lWl

Brands Spotlight: Taylor Stitch, Todd Snyder, Buck Mason, and more! - Topic of the day 12/9/24
Retail pricing of any mid to large size brand is always bad. The question is how bad and is the convenience a worthwhile trade off

Brands Spotlight: Taylor Stitch, Todd Snyder, Buck Mason, and more! - Topic of the day 12/9/24
I like the buck mason made in US tees and I think they’re not a bad value. Some of the collab stuff they’ve done is interesting as well but don’t own any of it.

Need help sizing tops
Also I know some folks who crop tees by just cutting them and leaving them unfinished. For cotton the edges will roll up on their own and can hold up okay

Tie Recommendations
Maybe a Navy blue grenadine with that jacket in particular. I also like black knit as beans has said.

Merch Madness
I bought the disco elysium jacket and love it but in general most merch has a seemingly disposable quality to it, whether due to poor materials or construction. I imagine most companies skimp out on quality to align better with the cost expectations of their audience or the fact that their audience will consume it simply due to being branded with the thing

Gifts for People That Can Buy Anything
I tend to also buy everything I want and I have always wanted a nice flask but never bought one for myself because I’m embarrassed. but I would graciously accept one as a gift. Maybe the one who likes drinking would appreciate this.

Charles Tyrwhitt shirts too big?
I used to buy shirts too tight in the neck knowing I’d never button them all the way up anyway

Overdressing - Topic of the day 7/18/24
Overdressing for events is a different thing imo. Like, when I go to a work conference and wear a suit most of the other folks are in oxfords or polos and lulu pants and frankly I say wear what you think represents you best. I feel comfortable in a blazer and or a tie in professional environments

Overdressing - Topic of the day 7/18/24
Overdressing day to day means being into a different style than the predominant one where you live. Like, when I lived in Chicago 2014 - 2021 it meant you were a bit outside of the norm if you weren’t wearing streetwear on some level, especially in the fashion oriented circles there. In NYC now it’s hard to literally ever feel overdressed because every style is represented here.

Male Fashion and Sexyness - Topic of the day 7/17/24
complicated answer. I think when you're young you have no idea what this kind of prescriptive sexiness means for finding a possible partner. some people never grow out of this mindset unfortunately hence this weird new form of misogyny where everything involving women is dei unless its sexual in nature
