Looking to play PS2 on CRT and record at same time.
Modding my PAL PS2 to accept NTSC games this week. Don't have video cables yet but likely to buy RGB Scart cables.
The cheap 14inch Phillips crt I bought last week does not have component in, just composite and RGB Scart, buying from retrogamingcables.
This setup would be completely fine, but want to now record my first playthrough of ff7.
What would be the best way to record + play on CRT at the same time? Budget options would be preferred (£200 max, closer to £0 the better)

Revelator IO24 vs IO44
Are the internals of the io24 and the io44 the same; are the values presented in julian krauses' review of the io44, the same as the internals of the io24.
Both are the same price on amazon. The io24 is older and has 2 mic/line combo inputs. the IO44 is newer has 1 mic and 1 line input, I will only ever use 1 mic and 1 line input, which both have.
Which ones measurements are better? even if tiny
I ask to be sure the measurements for the line in/out and mic in are equal on both
Would be cool to get an audio tag here, ill mark as capture card for now
On the presonus website it mentions
EIN for mic input:
-126 dBu for the io24
-128 dBu for io44
0.005% THD for io44 vs 0.009% THD on io24
and
Headphone Outputs Maximum Output
40 mW/Channel at 56Ω for io24
vs 30mW for io44. I won't use the headphone outputs anyway since I'll go main out to a headphone amp
These are the only difference i could find on the website
Mic input seems better on the newer io44, leading me to believe line inputs might be better aswell. Im not sure how big a difference those numbers make though

How does scaling affect VMAF scores?
For example, if a fast paced 1080p lossless source video is scaled to both 936p, 720p etc etc, without limiting bitrate, i would imagine the higher resolution would be prefered by vmaf.
But if we limit bitrate to 6k or 8k for the context of streaming, I would personally prefer 720p over 936p, but how would vmaf scores be affected?

Whats the best way to test and compare different encoders with the same video file?
Unsure how to go about testing x264 vs nvenc h264, for streaming purposes. I've seen lots of benchmarks etc.
I've tried shutter encoder but the nvenc clips come out looking worse than x264 medium/fast, would want the encoders im using to be same as obs ones.
I used Nvidia ICAT to compare split screen. Doing all this for fun, i understand no one except me will notice or care about the difference. Something is making me think apex foliage looks worse on nvenc even with p7

Dual PC, Elgato 4k60pro mk2, screen tearing issue on streaming pc, passthrough is fine, any advice?
I recently setup my dual pc stream setup since i didnt sell my old rig.
Simple specs:
Stream pc: x570 Aorus Elite + Ryzen 3600
Game pc: Asrock ITX + 12600k
I will attach example videos to show screen tearing. Have tested with both XRGB and NV12, have tested with buffering on and off, and have tested by setting FPS to Highest and Match output, all in obs source properties. All these have screen tearing in the recording and twitch stream.
I have also tested using both nvenc and x264 recordings, and nvenc stream. Will attach examples below.
Also tested by recording with gaming pc obs, game capture just for peace of mind, screen tearing is not present
Thanks for any help or guidance you can give
