one last thing I'll add - when you're looking at unicorn vomit inspo, think about if you also like the silhouette in the inspo or just the colors. Silhouette is a big part of the vibes y'all were talking about earlier.

What jumps out to me with fits 5/6 is the matching hems of the jacket/tee, whereas like fit 1 has more visual interest there

What are the essentials for winter clothing? (Tops/bottoms)
I agree with KAL that you don't need 2 jackets. I can wear my waterproof hardshell over some insulating pieces (fleece, down, wool, thick cotton, etc.) and I won't feel the wind at all. I don't like how that looks though, so I have a big wool coat for cold dry days.

I didn't scroll up, so sorry if some of this is redundant! Thermals aren't necessary for daily wear, if you ski or something like that then yeah.

fwiw balmacaans are usually more forgiving size wise, so I would go with the bigger size if you're not sure.
