extracting a style from my pinterest board
These are outfits that have been seen a lot online for a reason. They have comfortable, wide shapes that compliment the body, and simple colourations as to not stand out too much or be seen as awkward. Because it's so everpresent, it's not seen as particularly unique, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on how you view the world and what goals you want to accomplish with fashion beyond "I want to dress better".

Just about to start my shift, but the one thing I am noticing between your inspo and your fits is that the inspo takes on a multiplicity of shapes with the layering, where as when your layers come together, they're a shape and the shape is then kinda reiterated with the over-layer or draped over with a coat or jacket.

I personally like raising the ribbed portions of a sweater (sleeve cuffs and hem) to mitigate that feeling you're describing, the sweater will fold itself over those sections as a result
