From sensibly compact to ludicrously capacious, what are your favorite bags and how do you use it? What kind of materials and what features do you like? How much does aesthetics play a role in your choice of bag in a day? Acne Studios Musubi lives in my head rent free cause its cute as hell

But realistically I reach for a tote 90% of the time, and a small ALD crossbody the other 10%

going back to the topic though as I get older I just can't deal with bags that are heavy

Daily driver totes- all except the Doctors Without Borders one are by Out of Print
I don’t own any bags atp, but my favorites that I’ve seen are the Lemaire envelope bag, the Cos high shine ones, and anything that Isaac wears.

I have a ruitertassen school bag in this shape for maybe 10 years. It's indestructible but also heavy as shit.
i mean my primary backpack is an oakley kitchen sink
so i’m used to heavy mfers
My favorite for years now has been the porter 3-way briefcase, it’s just so neat
RRL tote for light shops, Filson field bag for dog walk supplies, the ruitertassen school bag for work/laptop and lastly the J. Peterman counterfeit mailbag because it's pretty.

Master-Piece Japan has cool stuff and goes on sale for fairly affordable prices. I have a black suede sling from them.
Friends also like Baggu for totes and I've gifted cute Shibori bags as easy to pack totes.
I like weird or fun bags! They're fun additions to outfits imo, especially all black fits. I've collected a few over the years that I'm pretty fond of
my most used bag is this bunzaburo one (first pic, spiky black), but I have a few others in rotation
another fave is my sculptural leather skull bag by Masaya Kushino that I spent a year tracking down
I also tend to carry a tote in addition to my main bag for my work laptop so I've included some of those too. I love my Baggu x MoMA bag. I also have a CDG x The Met bag which I like, just wish it were a little more sturdy

The fruits bag is soo cute

Idk why but I’ve almost always seen bags as purely functional. My one statement bag, for lack of a better word, is a Gucci duffel and I find myself using it so infrequently that I should honestly just sell it

I love bags, especially totes and I almost always pick up a new tote whenever I travel. I do not need any new bags but these are a few I’ve been lusting after for a while: Lemaire croissant, Bleu de Chauffe backpack and satchel, Nerb Handcrafted woven shell cordovan tote, Sunhouse Goods “Amoeba” tote, Sartolane weekender, Loyal Stricklin camo suede tote

Hermès In The Loop wins for versatility (and actually fitting a water bottle)
It gets so much wear for being both cute and practical.
Followed by Aspinal Mayfair, which can also be worn crossbody so second-most used, mostly on days I carry less and also for evening.
Also the first bag I bought when I moved to London, so has emotional/milestone appeal.
APC mini Eva is classic and cute, but fits very little and is only worn for the vibes.

Ah also, obligatory work backpack is this version of Longchamp’s Foulonné backpack, gold hardware, which they were phasing out in favor of silver hardware when I bought in 2022 and may not be making anymore.
I love bags so much. Preference is classic and/or vintage-inspired with clean lines and a definite shape (not too squishy), ideally top-handle.

Actually, got this super nice duffel/hold-all for christmas. Doubles as a backpack and waxed canvas so hard wearing
This bag has been working pretty well for what I've been using for, storing a MacBook Air, a bunch of accessories and a Nintendo Switch.
