Polyester as a suit inner lining
I would try it on and see if the lining makes the jacket feel hot. You can also post pictures here if you want advice on fit

Seems like they have decent reviews from users on styleforum. Can you try on in person at all?

Polyester as a suit inner lining
Fit is the most important part. But given that these are half canvass that's a good sign

I'm not familiar with Australian brands unfortunately. In the US I would say you can get a decent suit for $500-$600 so just over your price range. There's always eBay too!

Most jackets are bemberg but some use ermazine which is part viscose. Polyester might run hot but you should try it on and see. What's your price range?

braided belt too thick?
It doesn't look too thick. I find some of my pants have smaller belt loops than others so it can be harder to use some belts with them.

Any recommendations for selvege denim that does *NOT* fade?
You actually should be washing your denim pretty often. That's a myth that came from raw denim enthusiasts who were looking for high contrast fades. But when you don't wash your jeans often they get dirt trapped in the fabric which actually wears it out more. I used to barely wash my jeans and I would get crotch blow outs every six to nine months. Now I wash my jeans every 3-4 wears and they last a lot longer

Any recommendations for selvege denim that does *NOT* fade?
Denim fades, it's one of its features and I imagine pretty unavoidable for any product that uses indigo dye with textured woven cotton. Best thing to do would be to find a pair you like and when you wash them you should turn them inside out, use woolite dark, and air dry.

I've never worn any of their tailoring but I've read that their house cut is very different from how Jake and the rest of the staff model it. That said if they were to go MTM they could ask for a less tapered hem

FWIW I went with NMWA's MTM program which I highly recommend but that's only if you can easily make it to NYC

I originally wanted to get something different for my wedding suit - like a nice pattern or something similar. But after thinking it through I didn't want to upstage my wife and I also wanted a suit I could wear at other events. I ended up with a navy suit as well and I really love it. I did go MTM with some different details like patch pockets and side adjusters but ultimately if you want the suit to still be wearable for other events you probably want to show some restraint
