the crop is gonna make them a bit harder to work with. if you iron or press a crease onto them it should make them look a bit more manageably flarey

yeah it's pretty hard to find that kind of stuff at good prices. I'd recommend looking for 3 piece suits for that, people tend to list the good ones for like $300+ often but you have to dig

My suit was like $80 on ebay and a bunch of sport coats from them that I have on my watchlist are like $50-$100. I personally wouldn't pay more than like $150 for any of their old tailoring unless it's something really special

I have an 80s ysl suit and a few ties from the 90s-2000s. YSL used to be a department store brand so in my experience at least the quality is not actually too impressive compared to other stuff from the same era. This is not to say it's bad, it's just not special or any different from other department store stuff I've bought from the 70s-80s
