Suit help

I need a black suit that can be worn to BOTH a black tie event and a funeral I plan to pair it with this watch and prefer a slim fit suit I hope for a twill suit if possible (I have no idea what I’m doing and the only suit I’ve ever owned is a navy blue river island suit for my prom a few years ago) I could show a photo of me in that suit but not sure how helpful that would be for you lot

You should double check the dress code. Technically black tie means tuxedo which would be a weird thing to wear to a funeral. However sometimes people use the term black tie to mean “nice” without actually meaning tuxedo.

Alright thank you Budget is 150 at the max Most people there will be wearing tuxedos but apparently I can just wear a regular black suit?

go to the mall and buy something that fits you Also don't wear that watch to the black tie event

Watch “rules” for actual black tie is a dress watch, so clean dial, no external bezel, hell even a date can be to much. Size wise smaller the better. You can do a dive watch because no one really cares that much but it does go for that james bond vibe which might not be appropriate

Technically the rule for black tie is no watch at all

I thought that was just white tie?

People ignore it a lot but traditionally it's no watch or only a pocket watch for black tie. White tie would be no pocket watch
