It probably makes sense but I need to think about it, there is a lot of composite values out there and turning each into a value of its own can bloat the datamodal

@Scott Bender this is way too common, another Signal K instance name has just been changed to "French Warship", somewhere in the Med 🙂 I really don't think overriding self name should be possible. Any thoughts on this?

Random changes in boat name
This is now reported by at least 4 different users. Clearly the name is getting overriden. I suspect DataHub is the culprit in all instances.

@ray_sabado finally came back to implementing this but noticed it was already there! In your custom monitoring, you need to choose the monitoring type as "Volume", it then converts m3 to either liters or gallons, depending on if you are using imperial units.
Let me know if this didn't work for you.
