Graphics Bug in Beta 2.7.61 - Imported 3D meshes shadows/transparency
Not sure this is the latest beta. But I believe I found a graphics bug.
Imported 3D meshes are not casting/receiving shadows.
I am running the beta on steam. I am using a Quest 2 with PCVR over cable.

Can you DM me an example of the mesh you're importing?
I can do it later today once I am back on my PC. But it's the same model I used to create the hair test about a year ago. It has not been changed or altered, it's the same file that hasn't moved from the library. It was working fine back then.
Also please note the graphic quality bugs that I think might all be related, I can make a separate thread if necessary. just lmk.
it's the same file that hasn't moved from the library. It was working fine back then.Yes but I need a file I can try that shows me the bug. If you need a workaround - try updating to the latest beta and switching to the new importer.
I am not sure how to get to the latest beta, can you point me in the right direction?
if you're on the beta and you downloaded via an official app store, then it should auto update
To activate the new importer follow the instructions here: https://docs.openbrush.app/alternate-and-experimental-builds/improved-import-export#differences-with-the-new-unitygltf-export
Ok, thank you! I will double check everything later today and get back to you.
But also - do send me that file - I still want to look into the bug.
We haven't decided if we're switching entirely to the new importer yet.
I will open a different thread for the graphics settings, since it seems like I am on the latest already.
@andybak I reported this same issue. Please refer to vids in beta release 2.8 thread. It happens more so with models that have reflective/metallic properties. Transparency would also create a weird shader effect onto other objects as well.
