Help picking out a suit within my budget

I need a suit ASAP for my post-grad job. I came across these two suits: Saks Fifth Avenue Modern Fit Wool Blend Suit on SALE | Saks OFF 5TH (https://www.saksoff5th.com/product/saks-fifth-avenue-modern-fit-wool-blend-suit-0400017456739.html?dwvar_0400017456739_color=BLACK) Brooks Brothers Men's Classic-Fit Stretch Wool Blend Suit Jacket - Macy's (https://www.macys.com/shop/product/b-by-brooks-brothers-mens-classic-fit-stretch-wool-blend-suit-jacket?ID=16072159) Fabric Description - Saks: Lined. 52% Wool 48% polyester. B by Brooks Brothers: Shell: wool, polyester, elastane; body lining: polyester, viscose; sleeve lining: polyester, viscose I am going to get it tailored/adjusted. But which one would you guys recommend for the best bang for your buck in terms of "quality" and fabrics. Thank you!

Idk much about brands but I'd personally stay away from anything that has polyester in it

What is your price range? I think $200 is probably too low for anything but thrifting, which might not be possible within your time frame. For something under $600, the consensus recommendation seems to be Spier & Mackay (one of their core line of suits is $400, without a discount). Personally, I find even their regular fit trousers run too slim. I would recommend J. Crew especially if you can get at least a 30 percent discount; they have several different cuts and I find most of their suiting perfectly serviceable. Neither of these options will use polyester; they should look better and last you longer.

If your budget is $200 and under and you need a suit or 2 pronto, JC Penney has Stafford Signature Smart Tech Wool suits that are 98% wool and 2% elastane, which is a higher wool content than the two you've listed. It will not last as long as a J Crew or Spier and Mackay, so will cost more in the long run. Lands End has a similar blend for a bit more. You'll have a little better luck with their construction. Your budget it what it is (you might want to check out the Frugal Mens Fashion Discord), and you definitely want to fit in with your new job's vibe. But is your office really all suits? That's pretty rare these days. Chinos and button downs definitely won't work? If you're in law or finance or on Capitol Hill and you're just waiting for your first paycheck before going to Brooks Brothers, sure get a short term suit. Otherwise, I wouldn't just run out and get a suit if you're just trying to make a good first impression.

I was just planning on wearing the suit for the first two days, and see what the rest of the male staff wore (finance industry) I don't have a problem wearing a Patagonia vest over a dress shirt, I just want to look presentable for the first day And I was looking at the lands end one which has a higher concentration wool (98%) as opposed to the B by Brooks Brothers Will pull the trigger on the lands end one, thank you Thanks so much for your input

Yeah, they're a bit more than the Staffords, but like I said their construction will be better, so you'll get some life out of it. Good luck at the new gig!

I'd say take it to a tailor and ask them. I'm guessing they'll be able to take it in rather than getting a smaller size, but you never know what the actual measurements are.
