trying to print the fan duct in ASA

But it's coming out pretty poorly. What could be causing these issues?

What nozzle size? I don't know a lot but those layer lines seem tall

Good eye! It's a 0.8 nozzle. Obviously not ideal for small prints like this one

With a thick line coming out, might be hard for it to cool and harden before drooping. Feels like its not a problem for small parts, but for overhangs a smaller nozzle's better? Have you tried spinning the part, see if the error follow the part, or a direction? Might be tough cooling certain angles

oh interesting. I will try that. To be clear it could also just be that I really need this part to make the cooling work correctly, right? The whole point is that the stock fan shroud isn't pointing low enough

Maybe? I haven't printed any but I understood ASA, like ABS, to not need much cooling. As in too much cooling will make it warp But I'd ask around for people who actually have experience printing ASA with large nozzles.

I'm starting to think the part is just too small to print at any reasonable speed. I need to slow down to a crawl the youtubers are telling me it might just be heat building up in the part.

This looks like poor PA aswell print a little cooler or increase fan speed

Def not the right nozzle size for that part.... If you must use 0.8, increase your cooling
