Rancourt Spring 2024 sale
What are your favorites and recommendations from https://www.rancourtandcompany.com/collections/spring-summer-2024-pre-sale. I am drawn to the pinch penny mocs in brown cxl and the beefrolls in natural cxl.

Their loafers or mocs are kinda Rancourts bread & butter, so any of them. Keep in mind if you order these it may take much longer than their given estimate of June 28th.
I'm patient
I already have a pair of derbies on order with them. The sensible thing to do would be to wait it out until they arrive and I see how they fit
I have black calf horsebits from the last one, very happy with them
Hard to go wrong with rancourt
Pinch penny and beefrolls are both great, I also love the Venetian mocs. Keep in mind that severe grain break on CXL is impossible to predict so it’s always a gamble. Doesn’t bother me personally but some people really do not like it.
I had some very similar beefrolls in natural cxl for a while and found them too preppy for my tastes
I own their ranger mocs in carolina brown and love em, break in was a bit rough but they're nice now. l don't bust them out as often as sneakers or loafers but they're a nice shoe that can be worn in plenty of outfits
Couple example fits with the ranger mocs
shrimp also has a pair you'll see in his fits, I think his are natural cxl but they've darkened a lot
I think if I were you I'd go with a pair of the pinch pennies though
they seem to fit more with the vibe you're trying to go for
Natural cxl will darken significantly over time but that time is on the scale of years if thats what you want
oh Rancourt also has a printable shoe sizer page and I'd recommend trying it
i have a pair of CXL beefrolls from last year and they haven't changed color much at all, fit from October:
You should wear these more often they look good
lmao its febuary. They will be used far more once the weather warms up
My picks from this set would be the kiltie camp mocs, ranger mocs in brown cxl, and maybe the pinch pennies in tan and the brown cxl beefrolls on the LH sole.
I've found my natty cxl beefrolls kinda odd to wear tbh I'm not sure why. I'm more into brown CXL these days between the two
Skill issue. I wore my Ranger Mocs yesterday
FWIW I wish I got a darker brown
You live in Washington smh. Its more my black loafers/derbies match my winter outfits better
Same tbh I might commit high treason and condition or add some wax to my natty CXL ones and see if they get some more character
Or put them in the sun
Gotta get that rain darkening
I feel the same about the natural cxl beefrolls
They're far too close to my skin tone
Every of my past fits where I wore them I think would be improved by a different shoe
I guess they're good loafers to wear with shorts
Camp counselor vibe
GSH have you sold them already 👀
This is helpful, because I wondering if the nat cxl is too light for me, and it sounds like it probably is
yeah like a year ago sorry 😦
mine were OSB rather than Rancourt though and it didn't help that they were a little big for me and destroyed my heels
They’re..fine ig
(these fits aren't great to begin with but I think it still highlights that the shoes are weak)
Loafers with shorts is still a weird vibe I can’t quite navigate
I don't think they look bad there
what would go better? your snuff lhs?
Yeah they're not terrible but I agree that I think all of the fits would be better with different shoes
Natty CXL has a lot of variation, it can come out of the box looking like a light-to-mid brown or it can come out looking like the flesh of your victims
The first I'd rather some canvas sneakers I think. The second I think a brown or black calf loafer would be nice like a JM Weston moc 180. They work the best in the 3rd fit but they don't really help the fit too much imo
I always felt like calf loafers would be hard to wear with shorts but maybe the shape and split toe in the 180s would do the trick
I think once they get some wear it's not too bad. idk if I have any inspo saved with shorts tho lol
Something like the woven leather loafers would be an easier sell I think
Fishman sandals > loafers for shorts fits i think
good call
its not impossible to make loafers work but i can't think of a fit where loafers work and fisherman sandals wouldn't be better
for shorts
how about sweater and shorts fits
shetland, pleated chino shorts, suede loafers go better than sandals there
You right
I should get some fisherman sandals tho
Same. I really like my huaraches, but I feel like they go much better with pants and not so great with shorts
Wrong. Needs more skin — hoochie daddy shorts
another day where i want loafers and won't buy loafers
All my shorts feel short already, idk if I could go higher 😭
huaraches, that's the word ty
idk I think a green shetland with v pale tan shorts with black fisherman sandals or mary janes and white socks feels more intentional and fun than just going full Ivy with the loafers
Such a fun word to say too
Big fan of these, I'm thinking of getting a pair in a few years as an upgrade once my LL Bean signature mocs wear out. Have you had any issues with the wear so far, or are they too new to tell? Only real problem with my LL Bean ones is the stitching around the moc toe is getting torn up/ratty so I'm wondering if the upgrade is really worth it, because the leather's nice.
ive had the ranger mocs for like 4 years now and that's how they look
leather is definitely nicer than the llb mocs which I also upgraded from
Cool! I'll for sure upgrade then once these are done in
Anyone know if they eventually do anything like this for their winter boots?

They might later this year. I don't think I've seen those boots in any of the previous ones though
gotcha... I'd cop those in a heartbeat then
for winter boots, they make a great looking pair
