What are some trends that you don't understand the appeal of at all?
Had this convo with a friend the other day and thought it'd be interesting to hear what you all have to say. The biggest one for me is bucket hats...totally flabbergasted that these are a thing. Someone will have a great fit going and then they throw on a bucket hat and immediately turn into Gilligan.
This is a lesser one, and I'm not even sure how on-trend it is these days, but colorblock stuff has always been totally lost on me. I almost never think it looks good. What say you?

Tbh the trend that gets to me the most is when people assign negative traits that create out-groups to help enhance their own self image.
I don’t rlly think bucket hats are trending tbh
Maybe 2016-2019 they were
They’re just part of the cultural lexicon at this point
Also this is a very Reddit-y topic. I buy into every trend which is why I’m so young hot sexy and smart.
Same 💯
Gravel Bikes.
Honestly would just love for someone to explain the appeal of wide pants to me. You can't possibly tell me with a straight face that people truly enjoy wearing these balloon ass parachute pants. Call me crazy, but I prefer my pants to not be able to house a family of possums in each leg. And what happens if there's a slight breeze? Am I supposed to be walking around town as though I were a galleon hoisting my mainsail? I'll keep my 511s, thank you very much.
crocs
My trous are filled with secrets
Standing close enough to cars doing burnouts and donuts to get hit. I feel like its always Atlanta footage.
Standing within 100 feet of a mustang leaving a car meet
I feel like that is a classic not a trend
i think most of the trends I don't like are car related 🤔 carolina squat, massive flags, hazardous truck bed extensions etc
The only thing that comes to mind for me personally is football shirts. But I do not have to like everything
I'm consistently a slim-straight fit guy myself, I don't mind a slightly wider fit by any means, but my theory is that we've reached (or are reaching) the point where we're seeing the wide-fit equivalent of where we were at years ago with the skinny jeans...they got skinnier and skinnier until they were completely absurd and painted-on and just looked awful. That's how I feel about the extremely wide-fit pants. To me the best look is somewhere in the middle, but I also get that that's kinda boring.
they can be cool, I like the old 70s ones
I think he means the lad version of football
field hockey is the closest I've gotten to playing angloball, the jerseys look comfy though. I see why people would wear them.
I don’t really understand the dad shoe trend. Every fit I see with grey NBs could always be made better with some other shoe imo.
y2k, because I lived through it the first time Also giant watches, though thankfully that's finally dying down
Ones that aren't covered in shit sponsors can look neat.
comfortable as fuck
Im not a huge fan of those skull cap beanies
I think it can be used to dress down more dressy outfits
Yeah that is better but those are the minority
Just gotta be selective.
This isn’t how I usually see them worn. Is that how you wear them?
I don't really wear dad sneakers
anything adam sandler-esque
and jorts past the knee
less in trend now, but men shaving their chest/body hair
think we're entering 70s era body hair tho. im happy about that
egregious pricing for "vintage" and 2nd hand items
chronically online speak pervading real life conversation
shrinkflation
This is funnier if you read "conversation" as a trend you don't buy into @Big Thicc
i communicate exclusively via sharing tiktoks and grunting
Past relationships asked my to shave my chest and belly, never again. I’m hoping we’re entering a hairy new world
Celtic Glasgow shirts also look great; and usually they are sponsored by something appropriate like Magners or Tennents.
Unless you live in Glasgow, in which case its a 50/50 on getting your head kicked in!
Very popular shirts in Ireland for understandable reasons
Dior sauvage 🤮
Santal 33
people who wear that as a daily and daytime scent cries and vomits
people who wear too much of any fragrance are infinitely worse than those who don't wear anything
im a simple person i enjoy the smell of fresh laundry lol. i use floral detergent for my stuff
People who dunk on wide pants.
