Deciding on a color palette and also what mobile phone screen size to start with
I'm trying to build a voting site for the game monster hunter where users vote on monsters and they are ranked. I found a so called "monster hunter color palette" but it looks odd. I also have no clue where to start for mobile phone layout screen size. When it comes to decisions like color and deciding on a screen size to target for mobile as your "smallest" layout, what factors help you determine these?
How do I make a single column table look good?
I have a list of services that I want to show but I can't think of a nice looking way to show it. Any ideas? I just want a pleasant looking way of showing this data.
It doesn't have to be a table or even a vertical list. I am using a grid here. I added another column
S.No
cause I thought it would make it look good but I guess not....Updating Portfolio Looking for some feedback on the format
I've been redesigning my portfolio to improve my job hunt prospects. I recently created a new look and feel for it and would love some feedback. Heres a link to my current portfolio for reference (https://ibrahwad.github.io/)
The screenshot below is a Figma prototype. Key features include a carousel at the top for showcasing different skills, similar to an index ticker. Things like gallery would show polished 1 shots for different work, e.g., branding/ui/3D design. Blog would be a bit longer or less structured thoughts on aspects of either design or data viz.
Does this redesign feel like an upgrade or a downgrade in terms of visual fidelity and overall presentation?...
Anyone have any sites I could loan ideas from?
I have a rather simple looking site and I'm specifically looking for ideas for improving the most important page template (example: https://www.sf-bibliografia.fi:3000/works/4670). I'm not much of an UI designer so would like some inspiration but I can't think of other than rateyourmusic.com that is even remotely this style.
Specifically I think I would like to do something with the tags (the colored boxes) as well as the two buttons ("Palkinnot" means awards and "Linkit" I think you can figure out), having them behind a button doesn't make much sense plus I don't like what the short stories part ("Novellit") looks like.
But I don't really know what I would like so looking for some other sites I could use for inspiration....
Compare 2 similar designs
I have this 2 designs. Whic one is better? I tend to believe the first one is better because it has no aligment issues and has better contrasts in text hierarchy. Also it was made by me
How to layout a content in a circle
I want to layout content (text or text and images) inside a circle. My problem that I can't find a good way to put paragraph(s) in a circle that it looks good and readable

How to make a low-fi wireframe for an SPA?
I am remaking a website with 14 pages to be a single page app.
It is for tracking work hours across projects.
But I am stuck designing a low-fi wireframe, and could really use some help.
1. How do I know my design will fit on mobile if I don't make my wireframe somewhat detailed?...
Need advice for reworking my group project?
Hi everyone! I am looking for some advice and inspirations for my previous group project that I made during a workshop. This is a Digital Wallet that is similar to any other digital wallet but it allows people to track their spending and look at their transaction more clearly. I want to make it more real world like and more presentable. I uploaded only 10 photos because I don't want to flood this section. Please kindly give some ideas for this app. I accept any kinds of comments. Thanks and app...

opinions on my light mode / dark mode / navy theme?
https://www.figma.com/design/5WUXfdbMRtWWqCMYEaoG2n/web_agency?node-id=65%3A14&t=PZwb6QDc5gfrDgiL-1
I am trying to put together a landing and still kicking around theme ideas and wanted to run this by you all. I honestly like the all black btns in light mode which makes me sort of want to use that over the navy but wanted to get multiple eyes and get criticism overall before I start deving the page itself -- attaching a video demo of what the Value part will be doing in my CTA (super choppy gotta refine it)...
feedback on logo proposals I received?
contacted a logo guy to make some logos for me since I am not great with logos or iconography and got a few submissions, of the submissions there were 4 I sort of liked and wanted to get eyes on these and determine which style may be the best to work with and keep refining with the logo guy.
informed the designer I'm looking for a modern / cutting font with a geometric approach to the logo around the name Tristar.

Creative Borders Help
I need some help in creating a very creative sale tag. I have tried multiple options, but none of them have worked so far.
This inside-circle shape has caused me a big headache and I don't have a good idea on how to fix it. The biggest problem is that the background is an image, and this tag is used in multiple places.
Couple somebody please nudge me in the right direction?...
What is your take on the gray color?
I generated gray shades, to me it looks cool but I am not sure about it from an expert designer. I just want something new, I am overusing the gray shades of Tailwind
Fast Food Tracker - Layout & Feature Ideas
Working on a fun portfolio project as well as learning React with this and experimenting a bit with how I build it. I ended up creating a fast food tracker where i'm currently only using a json & chart.js to import some data about price history and show for each category as well as do basic data values on it.
Would like feedback or even cool ideas that you'd maybe want to see from a site like this. As its for fun and to learn.
Things on the list ...
Food/Coffee Truck Website with Location/Calendar (Feedback would be lovely!)
I'm working on a website for a family friend who just started their own coffee truck business. I wanted to play around with the idea of having a section of the site stay up-to-date with the truck's location and hours, but my family friends could be more tech-savvy. The solution I ended up with was to hook into a calendar so all they need to do is create events.
The CSS would give you nightmares so that I won't show the code, but if you have feedback regarding the design/style, etc. I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!...
Does the following section help with the landing page?
As there are so many boilerplates available out there, I just want to help developers pick the right one for their skills and needs.
Any tips I might be missing?
