Beelink Ser8 is not going to sleep or waking up properly. (Extremely slow wait or no wake at all)

I originally had a minis forum mini pc I returned for this same reason, thinking it was an issue with the pc itself. After getting a Beelink mini pc the issue seems to be the same. I am not sure how widespread this is across mini pcs but I have no idea how to fix it.

Onexplayer and Trackpad & RGB

I just got a brand new G1 and wanted to see if Bazzite would work on it. I put the iso on an SSD, booted it up, installed, and it ran. I did notice that the RGB lighting around the thumbsticks and inner keyboard, and the triangle on the lid didn't work, along with the whole touchpad area keys and just figured it was a compatibility thing since G1 is so new. Then when shutting down and going back into Windows, the lighting and touchpad still doesn't work. Most likely it's a hardware issue and it was a coincidence that I ran Bazzite, but coming on here is my last-ditch effort on seeing if anything can be done to fix it. Would Bazzite interfere in any way with certain lighting or touchpad/keyboard? Looking for a way to reverse this issue before throwing in the towel and sending my brand new toy back to China!...

Remote Desktop Low Framerate - Missing OpenH264 ?

Hello, my work provides a portal that lets you download a .rdp file, which has all of the connection settings and a cert baked in. They have enabled a high bandwidth connection so that it basically feels like real time, i.e. same hz as my local PC, and graphics/audio so you can even watch things youtube videos and it be reasonable okay. I've been trying to use this on Bazzite and have only been able to get it to work in FreeRDP (via terminal) and Remmina (via Flatpak). There are a few other options in Flathub that I tried, but they all seem to just outright fail, I assume because they haven't been setup to use rdp certs....

Solution:

I found a weird solution to this!!! This worked on KDE: - After creating the FreeRDP connection, pop it out of full screen (if it entered by default) by pressing ctrl+alt+enter...

Zotac Zone fan control

Hey, got everything working great on my Zotac zone. Is there any way to control the default fans though? It seems like they are either off or at full blast lol. Some way to adjust it would be awesome. Thank you

Steam Deck view is green

Hello, I just completed my first install of Bazzite and the screen in the Steam Deck View is green. When I switch over to the desktop view it works fine and is normally colored. I’m fairly new to Linux in general so any help would be appreciated!

Bluetooth headset stopped outputting audio and mic stopped working after update for me and 2 friends

As title indicates Bluetooth headsets just stopped functioning correctly can see the device but no audio. All of us are on a GNOME image if that helps.

OTD not detecting my graphics tablet

i have a Huion HS610, it does make a sound when i connect it and the tablet lights up but OTD doesn't pick up what should i do? asking here as OTD doesn't offer support to the flatpack version on their discord and its specifically with just HS610 as another tablet i tried did work...

joystickwake autostart service fails to start

The app-joystickwake@autostart service always fails to start. It tries to launch /usr/bin/bazzite-joystickwake, but this file does not exist I rebased from the deck image to the normal image, which probably has something to do with it? What do I do to fix this? I would actually like this to work....

Audio Mystery: No Sound in Gaming Mode, Returns When I TTY

I started with crackling and popping in desktop mode and audio way out of sync in gaming mode. By disabling devices and selecting a profile usinng the Volume Control flatpack, I was able to get clean audio in desktop mode for a game launched with Heroic. But now I am not getting any audio at all in Gaming mode. But if I tty into Bazzite to run pw-top and wpctl status, the audio immediately returns. I've set up a custom wireplumber config to set a low priority for the node that works so I am stum...

ROG Ally Z1 extreme No Watt Option

Hello, I installed Bazzite today without Windows. So far, I'm very impressed. I was able to open a menu with the right rocker on the back of the device, where I could adjust the LEDs, change the controller, and set the wattage. Now I've set the controller to Steam Deck Controller, and I can't open the menu anymore. How can I change that?

Mangohud displaying a static cpu temperature most likely from a wrong sensor

Mangohud started displaying the wrong sensor for cpu temperature. It was working fine before (last week) and displaying Tctl from k10temp-pci-00c3 I think it's now either displaying SMBUSMASTER 0 or TSI0_TEMP from nct6797-isa-0a20. These sensors have never worked for me, but I need this module to control the fans and get the sytem temperature. Is there a way to tell mangohud which sensor to use? Is there a way to unload some modules from lm-sensors btw? It detected a wrong one (nct6687-isa-0a20)...

screen goes black and back momentarily when i open things

as an example here's a vid where i try screenshotting or open GPU screen recorder. (when i capture a video on the PC itself the recording doesn't show this)....

Solution:

motherf... this happens when the Adaptive Sync is set to "Automatic"... It's fine when it's set to either "Never" or "Always"...

can’t boot, stuck on this screen indefinitely

I’m a pretty inexperienced linux user and this started happening after a forced restart. I am still able to boot windows on my old hard drive. Is this an issue with my bazzite? Or is the SSD I use to run bazzite broken? How am I able to tell? Will I be able to recover the files on my SSD? Please answer in detailed instructions, as I am unfamiliar with terminal usage....

Disk Automount

Appears there was a recent change per documentation in which all labeled partitions will Automount. But I've configured via the previous method. So I need to edit the mount point of the partition and then remove the entry in fstab?

eGPU not switching to external display on reboot

I'm setting up an eGPU running a RX 6600 with AOOSTAR AG02 on a Rog Ally X. Performance wise seems to be running as expected. I'm using the all-ways-egpu methon 2 and 3 but device is showing the games on the internal display. I have to manually run all-ways-egpu set-boot-vga egpu and then do a Restart of Display Manager within it's menu. Only then the device will start displaying on the TV connected on the eGPU. Rebooting the system while connected to the eGPU will not switch to external display unless I run these in the command line. After that it displays to TV but the Rog Ally X will show a very dark screen with an underscore at the top left (maybe that is expected?)....

Gyro capable controllers experience extreme latency and input drops. (All other controllers work)

Last night I was playing God of War 2019 with my dualsense, worked fine. Eventually sleeped the device. Came back later, turned it on, and my dualsense connects rather slowly to the machine, eventually gets it's status color, but proceeds to only send inputs every few seconds and only for a fraction of a second. GRUB error

When i boot up my pc and it loads grub it throws the error “grub_is_cli_need_auth” at me and enters rescue mode. How can i fix this?
