Stuck on "deploying /run/install/repo/bazzite-stable

Im running it through Virtualbox on Windows 11. My GPU is RX 5700xt, CPU r5 3600x. When I've gone through all the steps and press install, I get stuck on this screen (~10 min so far) saying "Deployment starting: /run/install/repo/bazzite-stable."

KDE plasmashell segfault on startup

When I startup my computer, occasionally my background screen and taskbar will disappear with multiple crash handlers popping up. One common thing I've noticed is that all of the warnings mention that they can't open certain files during file-backed mapping note processing. I'll include the crash report on request, but is there anything I can do about this? Thank you for your time!

Bazzite Portal “Install More Applications” button not doing anything

I just installed Bazzite Gnome (and just joined this server woohoo!) as a dual boot with Windows on my HP 2-in-1, and after going through the portal to install resilio sync et al, I got stuck on the last page. Pressing Open next to “Install More Applications” doesn’t open anything. I’m wanting to use the portal to configure some emulation applications and such. I rebooted to see if applying the previous changes would fix anything but going through the portal again, it still won’t open anything. The other links to the docs/forums work, just not that one. Does anyone know why it might be doing that? Thank you!...

Device wakes up from sleep on it's own.

Sleep function on my Rog ally was working fine, suddenly however it's waking up on it's own which seems to happen when the device losses or gains a battery percent.

Constant stuttering in Games

After a month, I decided to play Grand Theft Auto V (Steam, Bazzite-Deck Image) and as soon as I loaded the game, I was getting max 14-15 fps with GPU (RX 6600XT) at 99% When entering game menu, it goes up to my monitors refresh rate and is very smooth. I didn't have this issue on Bazzite in October Also, I noticed that after a while, Rocket League (added to Steam through Heroic) also caps at 25 fps (should be above 300fps) What causes these issues and how can I fix them?...

Solution:

I guess I could try deleting proton files and see if that helps

Installation error. Can't install bazzite

I created 2 partitions and formatted them. one 60mb efi and another 150~gb ext4 both with proper mountpoints. Regional and language settings were set to english. Happens with both internet connection and without it. User created without password.

Tdp options menu keybinding

So I was messing around with keybindings trying to figure out how to get a cheat menu to pop up for sims 4. I figure out how to do that but in the process I accidentally undid the bind for the performance menu for Bazzite to pop up. I’m not sure what it’s called but I added a picture. I am looking to bind it back to the same button it was before on the Rog ally. The QAM button I think it’s called? System: rog ally z1...

EasyTether / USB Tethering.

Hello! I am wondering how I can install and use EasyTether. It's seems rather difficult for me due to its immutable nature and I want to be able to play my legion go anywhere using my data (not hotspot data) from my android phone. I've used EasyTether on Windows 11 and Arch Linux, both are easy but on bazzite it's so difficult so if someone can help me with this, greatly appreciated...

Surface Pro 6, Surface Pen not recognized

anybody know why a surface pen wouldn't work on a surface pro 6 with bazzite? at first I thought it just wasn't implemented, but according to the feature matrix it's in using the surface kernel, which i've been told is rolled into ublue. the pen works on the windows partition, and it also works on bazzite 41 on my surface pro 3

File history within Lutris and Gnome File Explorer under KDE

For clarification I am running KDE. While tinkering around my Lutris installations, I noticed that it is picking up the recent file access of my entire computer, even though I set KDE to save that overall. From my understanding, it seems that Lutris does not open the Dolphin file explorer but what looks to be a Gnome one and it is driving me nuts. I tested both .cache and .config and whatever is storing this information is not there. I hope someone might be able to help....

In case anyone has a reason to ever deal with this. The file that contains the data is: ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel ...

Realtek 5Gb lan cannot be detected under Bazzite 41

New build pc just for Bazzite, with MB Asrock X870E Taichi lite the lan port cannot be found with Bazzite, which confirmed good with a crosscheck with Windows installations. I am new to archlinux. Tried to install R8126-10.013.00 but fail. Any hint?...

Chrome browser resizing is bugged on nvidia

Hey everyone, I'm seeing an issue on Chrome browsers where resizing it sometimes causes the top bar to be cut in half and everything shifts up. The mouse is does not interact with the webpages normally anymore after this happens. Let me know if there's a workaround (other than resizing chrome until it fixes) please. Or please direct me to an open support issue for this if there is one. I've googled around but not having luck finding it. I just joined the discord though so i might be missing it...

Frequent crashes on new Bazzite install (Steam gaming mode)

Hi, I am new to Bazzite so apologies if I am missing information you need. I have built a new PC with all new hardware (ASUS B550M-K, 32GB ram, Ryzen 5 5500, WD 2TB NVMe) and a second hand Radeon RX6700XT. I have installed Bazzite on it today as an HTPC, so it can boot straight into steam ganing mode to give me a console-like experience. I really haven't changed much in Bazzite. I disabled an audio adapter so that it would use the correct one when it boots. I think I installed DeckyLoader but I haven't used it (not sure what it does yet). So, I installed "Apotheon" thinking it would be a quick install and is well supported game to try out, but 30 seconds or so into the opening cut scene my screen went solid bright green and the computer crashed. I rebooted and I tried changing the resolution of my display in the steam settings, which worked for a few seconds then crashed in the same way. Then for a while I could not get the machine to boot at all, and was on the verge of reinstalling. I briefly went into "rescue mode" from my Bazzite install USB drive, but I didn't change anything....

Solution:

Might be worth making a Windows-to-go with Rufus if you have a fast external SSD. Then you can eliminate if it's something in the hardware or a specific Linux/Bazzite issue.

Bazzite help on rally X

I am trying to dual boot on an Ally X and every time I go into bios, and change my partitioned drive to be the primary, and continue, when it scrolls through the menu, I noticed an error-12 (pic), and then when actually going through and attempting to install bazzite, I get another error with a code-1 (pic). I am attempting to install the newest bazzite, 41, and am wondering what I am doing wrong if anyone can help out. I’m not to to computer savvy, but can follow directions....

Lutris help!

Heya! So recently I wanted to play my old cd games and put them on lutris. When I did the installation and went through the setup, everything looked great! So when it finished up and I clicked launch it did nothing.. but out of curiosity I went to the exe file itself and ran wine in the terminal and it works instantly. I have no idea why this could be happening, any help would be great! Also, another odd thing is my DVD rom cds can’t be read, like they don’t even appear and I have no idea why....
