Thanks, I tried this, and actually removed everything on the map, and it still crashes.

You need to copy the old version files to the correct steam folder before SMM will recognize it. Just backup the 1.0 files before deleting. You will need a new shorrtcut too.. with -NoSteamClient, on the new path

1 Satisfactory install was found, but it points to a folder that doesn't exist.
I had this issue, after downgrading to U8 using the depot download method from console, I had renamed FactoryGame.exe to FactoryGameSteam.exe, thinking that was the correct thing to do, and it screwed SMM with the same error message.

Reverted to Update 8, it runs fine, but SMM wont manage mods for it?
