Iris trying to call pale garden in 1.20.1
The issue appears to have been complementary. Since my loader doesn't know how to throw errors for an individual shader pack, it said that Iris itself was trying to call it

also, unrelated, but the most recent version of Iris just straight up doesn't boot for me.
