well, not sure why building it from scratch makes everything work, but hopefully some of this gave you some useful info for future appimage releases

well, with the environment variable from that thread set I can launch the appimage I built, and it seems to be able to open things properly

ok, so, using cargo tauri dev launched opendeck, and that worked until I closed the konsole (which had the cargo tauri process attached), which then closed the application
