Biomimicry Color Theory - Topic of the day 4/3/25
I mean, I do sometimes choose a colour that can also be found in the very biological place of my eyes. And yes, that is something I intentionally choose, because it tends to look nice and bring out my eyes. Also happens to be one of my favourite colours in general, so that's a plus. I guess if you really want, you could call that biomimicry.
...but you don't have to. And other than that, I don't think I specifically go for nature inspiration... I just wear what I feel like.

Layering ideas for this bright PRL shirt
I don't think I entirely get the vibe you're going for, but I'll try anyway:
One thing that I think doesn't quite work about the outfit in the picture is the colours. The colour combination doesn't seem to work to me. I guess the pants could maybe work with the shirt, but I still don't think they're the kind of colour combination I would go with or would know how to style well. I think the jacket colour just doesn't really mesh well with the shirt. Have you thought about maybe a dark blue? Emerald green? Jewel tones? Maybe something like that? I think it might also work with a pair of dark-ish blue jeans, for example? I can't really put my finger on what exactly about the colours here doesn't quite work for me, I'm not an expert, they just don't seem to mesh well.
Also, have you maybe considered a vest/waistcoat? Whether you go with a fancy silky one or rather a less shiny more casual one from a rougher kind of fabric could probably make a big difference. I don't know if that is really the vibe you want, but it's what came to mind for me. Hope it maybe helped a bit 💁
