Seeking a career/life advice.
Hi everyone. I'm reaching out for advice on a significant crossroads in my life, and I value any insights you can share. Here's a bit about me: - I'm 26 years old and currently working as a developer in India with 3 years of experience.I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science in 2020. -My initial plan was to pursue MS in the US since my college years, driven by a desire to explore new opportunities and the American Dream. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and health of parents due to covid, I had to drop the plan. Career Timeline: - Got placed in TCS in my final year with a low-low salary of ₹3.35 lakhs ($4k) per annum. Started working there in 2021 - Currently at NTT Data with a salary of ₹30 lakhs ($35,000) per annum. Social and Personal Dilemmas: - I've practically had no social life, largely due to previous financial constraints and dedicating most of my time to work and studies as I wasn't the brightest. - I haven't dated anyone for two years, primarily due to the demands of remote work, keeping me occupied throughout the day. Now, the Dilemma: - Despite having a stable and well-paying job, I'm considering leaving it to pursue MS in the US. Logically, it might not be the most practical move, given the uncertainties and the significant financial investment. However, I feel compelled to explore this opportunity. - As I approach 30, I find myself at a "now or never" situation. I'm torn between the logical path of job stability and the desire for a new beginning through higher studies. I've been grappling with this decision for months, considering my age, lack of a social life, and the uncertainties involved. I'd greatly appreciate your opinions and advice on transitioning from a decent job to pursue higher studies.Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I welcome any insights you can poohhehthinkies
