Hosting modded server on a gaming laptop
Me and my friends (5-6 people) are thinking about starting a minecraft server. I have an Asus F15 I could use to host the server and was wondering if it would be worth using to host it. My internet speed is 50 Upload and 150 download. We are planning on adding origins, origins++, and terralith. In addition, I have modified my laptop by adding a 16GB stick of ram increasing my total ram to 24GB.
Questions:
Should I use my laptop to host the server?
Is there anything I should be aware of?
Does hosting a server make my Wi-fi network vulnerable? If so, what should I do to secure my server?
Should I be concerned regarding power consumption and overheating?
