Okay so that's going to be comparable to what I currently have then. Might be worth waiting for. I'm debating based on possible impact of US tariffs whether to buy sooner than later and if I should just pull the trigger on the 7900 xtx or hope for the 9070xt

That's true, I did see that. I love ray tracing ever since I first played Cyberpunk 2077 with it on, and Veilguard was stunning with it, too

Okay that's good to know - I just found a complaint about it in one of the newegg reviews saying it doesn't work at all for linux, so perhaps that user rec'd a bad board

100%, I'm probably going to give my current mobo/CPU/GPU to my spouse since they want to upgrade anyway and are all-in Windows ("why would you want to use Linux when you can use group policy to lock down Windows" lol) and I might trade for their lower watt supply
