Electric drones?
Just plop down one of the magic machines (I recommend the MM small) set it to any fuel (batteries or rocket fuel, ect) and off they go like you put in the work to fuel them vanilla.

You could just cheat bypass it the need to fuel them like I do by using this mod: https://ficsit.app/mod/MagicMachine
