Electric drones?
Looking for a mod i used a long time ago, instead of drones using batteries drones could be recharged and only consumed electricity.
I have an idea for a megabase i'd like to try out and would like to avoid the fuss of having to supply fuel to drone ports, are there any mods that can do this and works on an up to date non-experimental installation of the game?

There used to be Better Vehicles & Drones, but that's no longer working, but there is a spiritual successor to that mod here:
Industrial Evolution - SMR
A feature-rich mod based on Mk++ and X3's Better Vehicles with many quality of life improvements
That mod does a lotmore than just drones with rechargeable batteries though so make sure you have a look through all it does before deciding if it's the mod for you 😄
You could just cheat bypass it the need to fuel them like I do by using this mod: https://ficsit.app/mod/MagicMachine
Magic Machines - SMR
SANDBOX. A lot of Fluids, Solids and Energy Spawner and Sink.
Just plop down one of the magic machines (I recommend the MM small) set it to any fuel (batteries or rocket fuel, ect) and off they go like you put in the work to fuel them vanilla.
probably was better vehicles i used but guess IE have to do.
im avoiding cheats mods, makes it to easy to use excessivly.
electric drones in industrial revolution require end game items to unlock so it wont work for me unless it can be cheated a way around 😦
I have plans to make vanilla drones rechargeable too, but I can't give you any ETA
will you just electrify or do more? like dual input/output on drone ports? configurable cargo space on drones?
Maybe don't respond to the dev who just said they are going to add the feature you're looking for (at no cost to you, but at a significant time commitment from them), with nothing but a whole laundry list of more things you want them to add as well ― things which start going significantly outwith the scope of the mod in question. The phrase you are looking for is "thank you Acxd!".
Just electrify, otherwise people won't have reasons to unlock the mk2
