What's the difference between denim and chino fabric anyway?
I am wondering when we are going to start bathing in our chinos and going months without washing them. Starting a raw chino community.

Thanks! I'll give it a read. Yeah we can easily tell the difference between them, but it's strange how there's a difference but it's hard to explain. I guess chinos feel smoother. Denim definitely has that rugged, workwear feeling to it, I agree.

Yeah. I am not sure what exactly it is. I think in my mind, sometimes it looks like I am wearing an orphaned suit jacket vs a casual jacket. Also yeah the navy blazer + chino's look kinda reminds me of salesman now. Thanks for the inspo pics.

I hadn't thought about light wash jeans. But I'll give it a try. I don't own loafers though since I haven't found any that fit me well.

That's a good idea. But unfortunately I don't have a lot of room in the arm hole and chest to work with since it's a Spier Mackay jacket. I do like how a sportscoat + sweatshirt/sweater looks on others though.

Anyone else tired of the fashion advice for shorter men? Thoughts?
Yeah it might be a visual balance thing. Similar to how all models for clothes seem to be 6’+. Just drapes better or something

Maybe it’s just remnants of classic menswear that says things like visually increasing the length of your legs makes you look taller (which is implied that looking taller is good). These days the vids I watch talk about the “rule of thirds” which is like the same conclusion. It seems pretty prevalent, and the implication is that looking taller = good.

Lol idk if I’ve seen that particular vid but I’m sure it’s the same as I’ve been hearing since I started looking on the internet.

Right I can agree with that. I’d rather it be extension of my personality and taste. I’m not into looksmaxxing or whatever

Yeah I have some shoes that just so happen to increase my height. But I would never buy them just for that purpose. Me personally

The shirt has non-iron treatment which is handy. But less breathable and runs kinda hot since it’s non-iron twill.

But thanks for the info. If it’s not easily fixable I’ll probably just wear it as is without expensive alterations since it was relatively cheap anyway

Only Suit Fit Check
Yeah I’m not sure why. What’s hard is I’m not sure how to fix stuff like this. And I never know how much of it is just posture. Maybe it would drape better with heavier fabric?
