Tuxedo Jacket with velvet skirt
Unfortunately a trip to PDX is not on the cards before January. My big concern is that a vintage shop will not have anything tall enough for me.
I'll take a gander though.

I was thinking that the cummerbund would help in case the velvets weren't close enough
I almost exclusively avoid Amazon, but this has returns, and I'm not entirely sure where I'd find a velvet skirt in Seattle

I think it's possible the jacket is too big, but the big improvement would be with the shoes in my opinion. A boot would go much better here.
I don't think it's too formal for a Uni fit at all, and think the look is good overall
