🤔
The style was a continuation of what I was trying to do yesterday: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1255197478312087672/1297675781627052193
I don't know what you mean
He means for you to post the picture in this q&a thread
Oh
Ok
So, what works with this and what doesn't?
It'd be more interesting to hear your reflections on it! I have thoughts I can share though.
I think it looks neat! It's got a bit of a mix of formal (with the shirt) and casual (with the denim). It does feel a bit too formal for university-wear  but it's fine for now.
To improve, I'd probably have a shirt that is a pure color rather than a stright one. I'd also prefer the shirt to be straight rather than a bit crinkled as shown here.
I think for the boots too, I'd want more cowboy-like boots in shape and color (brown leather).
And also cowboy-cut jeans
but in terms of not buying clothes for the moment, I think it's fine for what I've got in my wardrobe :linkHotCocoa:
What are your thoughts? :happy_thonk:
I think it's possible the jacket is too big, but the big improvement would be with the shoes in my opinion. A boot would go much better here.
I don't think it's too formal for a Uni fit at all, and think the look is good overall
I don't think the jacket is too big. I do think it's a little out of harmony with the slimness of the jean leg, but that's not a huge thing. Looking at your inspo a brown shoe or boot, or maybe a (white?) converse might work nicer.
This is pretty good overall though, and don't take these as items for a shopping list. Instead think about they might work in the outfit differently. A wider leg on the jeans might balance the jacket a bit, shoe options might speak to the American Ralph Lauren thing a bit more.
Beyond that I actually like the shirt, I think a solid would change the vibe a bit and stripes work nicely here.
Agree might be overkill for uni compared to others, but that's more about what you're comfortable with.
Not sure if this is the vibe you'd lean toward, but the jacket feels pretty darkware/kinda peasanty in nature
I can imagine it working better w/ more rustic things in the mix. a similar cut pant in a different cloth would work. A stronger boot like others have said, and a less normy bizcaz shirt.
don't have any pictures on hand to describe what im goin for but yea.
Not sure if this is the vibe you'd lean toward, but the jacket feels pretty darkware/kinda peasanty in naturehmm 🤔 It's not really the vibe I was aiming for.

Desert boots would go well? Something with this kind of silhouette?

Sam, take a pause from thinking about new items to buy and read and consume a load of the stuff that people suggested to you earlier. You'll be able to buy with more intent in just a few weeks/months time...
