Cloudflare Tunnel with Postgres DB
You need to leave out the railway.internal in the URL. Should be just postgres:5432 I would recommend installing cloudflare warp on your local machine, and putting db.basilico.studio behind cloudflare access.

SPF records fail because of CNAME to railway domain
Yeah, it basically masks the CNAME as an A record

SPF records fail because of CNAME to railway domain
It's possible railway is checking specifically for CNAME and doesn't support ANAME. If they don't, you may want to re-point your NS servers to cloudflare (Cloudflare does something called CNAME flattening which negates this issue)

SPF records fail because of CNAME to railway domain
you can always set up a second domain on railway, and point an ANAME to that to test it

ANAME is essentially a CNAME without the restrictions: https://dnsmadeeasy.com/post/what-is-an-aname-record

You'll need to delete the CNAME record first

This should be possible. What DNS provider are you using?

Cloudflare tunnel as VPN to access resources
Note... when you're pointing to railway's private hostname, I had to use just the subdomain part and leave out the railway.internal part of the domain

Cloudflare tunnel as VPN to access resources
I haven't tried this specifically on railway, but have used the cloudflare warp private network to a ip subnet: My guess is: because railway only exposes the private hostname, you would need to setup the tunnel to use a "public" hostname and point it to your private hostname on railway. Then you would use cloudflare access to place that public hostname behind
