Why make false claims
Let's suppose the earth is flat. (The validity of the statement is not important for my questions)
The following statements are things commonly associated with FE and I'll list them here for transparency:
* The spherical earth and heliocentric model are a conspiracy
* Space doesn't exist in the form claimed by "scientists"
Please explain to me:
Why would a false claim about the earth's shape be made? [1]
What is gained? [2]
This is important, because a conspiracy of this scale is nothing simple. So the rewards would have to be grand.
For this to work, an unprecedented level of global cooperation is required. Why has no county steped out of line?[3]
It's undeniable that officially humans are rather active in space. Things like satellites, space stations, (un-)manned moon missions, mars rovers, telescopes,... From my understanding this wouldn't be possible on a FE. So why waste the resources required to fake all that?[4] (No matter who is responsible for doing it, faking two space stations, faking moon landings, faking EVAs, faking data for dozens of probes and rovers (with tons of sensors), providing all the services in another way to fake the existence of satellites, is a lot of work) Therefore hundreds of thousands of people have to be involved. Why risk the involvement of so many[5]

I seem to be unable to reply in any way, so I'll add on here:
I explicitly stated, that these questions are asked with the assumption that the earth is flat. So any discussion/replies focusing on the shape of the earth are pointless and ignore the actual questions asked here.
