game mode doesn't work on RX 480 8GB
After installing Bazzite I was given the problematic GPU warning, even though I know it works in gamescope both in older versions of Bazzite from a few months ago and in ChimeraOS. After this trying to enter game mode results in the system just going back to desktop mode with Steam signed out and restarting puts the system in a state where there is only a text cursor on screen with no way out other than reinstalling. I suspect that disabling the problematic GPU workaround might help, but I can't find any information on how to do that

Suspend not working within GameMode
Expected behavior: When I select "suspend" in the power menu, the system should go into sleep mode.
What actually happens: When I select "suspend" in the power menu, the system briefly turns off the display (About a second or two, barely not long enough for the display's no signal detected message to pop up) before immediately exiting sleep mode.
I don't believe this is a hardware compatibility issue, as my specs are all fairly modern (Ryzen 5 2600 undervolted 125mV, 16GB DDR4-3200, 1TB M.2 SSD, and AMD Radeon RX 480)

However, there appears to be no solution given in the comments or on the original post, and I ended up reaching the same dead-end as the OP on that post.

Unable to launch Non-Steam Unity games on the Bazzite GNOME Deck image
I have a game console PC running the
bazzite-gnome-deck image off of a 1TB NVME SSD
I have some non-Steam Unity games, such as Project 06, located at /home/user/Games/
On my Steam Deck running stock SteamOS, I can simply add these games to Steam and set them to run on Proton. On Bazzite though doing this results in the games failing to launch despite using the same version of Proton with the files in the same locations.6 replies
