Unable to launch Non-Steam Unity games on the Bazzite GNOME Deck image

I have a game console PC running the bazzite-gnome-deck image off of a 1TB NVME SSD I have some non-Steam Unity games, such as Project 06, located at /home/user/Games/ On my Steam Deck running stock SteamOS, I can simply add these games to Steam and set them to run on Proton. On Bazzite though doing this results in the games failing to launch despite using the same version of Proton with the files in the same locations.

We recommend using lutris for anything not on steam

Lutris appears to run into the same issue as Steam, the game fails to start with no indication of why

unless the game happens to be a flatpak (minecraft) or in an emulator (dolphin which would be a flatpak

I eventually got Lutris to work, but the results have honestly caused me to just despise it, I'd still like to find a way to get it to work directly through Steam (Particularly due to the loading times and the frequent "Compiling Shaders" messages that distract me from the game)
