exploded textures on enchanted items in the menu only
but yeah havent tried sorting out all the mods yet and the issue isnt major enough, just prevents from updating distant horizons and its dependencies

I updated all the mods to their latest for 1.20.1 and its still a bug

so I tried all the rendering mods and narrrowed it down to iris

then I have no clue which mod it is, its only enchanted items so I'd assume its a rendering bug

ok I've officially narrowed it down that it is indeed iris causing this, as I uninstalled it but kept everything else and the bug stopped happening

it might even be an unrelated mod but I have NO idea which, and I haven't found a similar situation online anywhere except when it regards to the essentials mod
