foremost example in my head is the influence that those stereotypical bright plaid punk bondage pants have on japanese fashion, they dont use plaid toooo often but maris rock is a decent example

i'm pretty entrenched in my local punk/diy scene and i think that's had a big influence on how i dress, these past years i've leaned more into that sort of ratty punk style. this is only tangential but i think that the scene has had pretty fundamental influence on me, listening to the music i made in before i started going to shows compared to now it's night and day.

thats fair, it's a bit of a stretch. i was thinking more about "do this" rules as opposed to "dont do this" rules. nobody's going to say that some specific piece works because theres never a tritone in it
