What’s the deal with sports coats and T-shirts? *seinfeld voice*

I don't do tee shirts anymore but that sport coat/sport coat substitute better be casual. I'm talking fabric-wise, pattern-wise, weave-wise. Madras sport coat with a tee and some crisp cream chinos in the summer sipping a mojito? Why not? <:pepe_shrug:874118001627115560> I'd just go with a polo but that's me.

Clothing Tags - Topic of the day 1/21/24

Hanging tags get tossed after I settle on alterations. I don't care if tags are sewn in as long they're not itchy. shrug

Finding a Style

Here's what I did: Find one garment I liked. For me, it was the field jacket. Then I googled outfits with that piece. I kept seeing that jacket in certain styles of clothing and found terms associated with it like "smart casual or business casual" that kept showing up in articles and videos. And after two years, I know what clothing and shoes I like and don't like when I see it.

Color Series: BEIGE - Topic of the day 1/12/24

I love beige as long as it is on the warmer side and a little dark. Compliments my skin tone nicely. Also, great for layering over as well. Wouldn't wear it as a jacket, though. Knitwear and pants only for me. Eh, I'll wear a polo and maybe a button down shirt. Hard maybe, though.

which pair of shoes is better with this outfit?

They're both neutral. Both have majority of the colour matching the jacket. Grey goes with almost anything. White goes with almost anything. Navy goes with just about anything. They're both fine. Don't over think it. djt

I think there's too much shirt sleeve showing and the pants need hemming. Gotta sell it if the jacket sleeves can't be let out. And yeah, it does look rather tight. You have plenty of time for a new one.

Hawaiian Shirt Outfits would work best with my Doc Martens QUILION RED

They're going to stand out. Brown and beige pants are gonna help ground it but that shoe is a "bright" burgundy as far as I can tell. The shoes are going to be the 60%. As for a shirt, my vote goes for the dark blue shirt with the drinks on it. The blue is subtle, has the red similar to your shoes, has adjacent orange, tint of red (pink) and opposite green. I think it'll help grab attention from the shoes. My .02. Good luck,Bub. No one is going to care about the collar except you but if you want an authentic shirt then I'm sure you'll find something. I assume this is a one off kind of event?

Style Highlight: Streetwear - Topic of the day 1/7/24

I used to skate in the 00s as a teen and was into post hardcore/emo music etc so it was definitely apart of my look back then. I never fully went into the Hot Topic look just skater-lite. Then into jeans and a tee shirt from 20-32. I can't imagine myself dressing like that at all anymore. I lean into smart casual so no thanks. I'll leave it to the younger folks and the young at heart.

Yeah, it starts out chocolatey then lemon starts popping Its head It's a lemon-chocolate cologne. Interesting combo. Not over the moon about it like some reviewers, though.

Family Ties - Topic of the day 1/2/24

I live in a blue collar suburb of Houston where a lot of folks work in refineries and plants and whatnot. I see a lot of country/rugged and the average Joe/Jane style of casual dress. Since discovering dressing stylishly, I don't want to look the others around me. I want to dress for where I am going in life not dress for where I live currently. Of course, I can't dress too well. I don't want that much attention from "interesting" people. Anyway, I choose to dress apart and act the part.

A lot of people complain of Aventus longevity especially for the price. I'm surprised you have Reserve Privee as everyday. How different does Dior Homme vs Intense smell? I love iris or musk or whatever that soft floral note is but the longevity and projection is eh with the Intense.

Nobody would care. Nobody would notice anything other than you have cool shoes. I don't skate anymore but those are the only shoes sneakers I wear for my job because they're comfy and get the job done.
