Game downloaded, finished, 0Bytes and no files at all
what breaks my heart is some regular people with linux or bazzite try to install that game and get the 0 files packet and then its not working for them and they blame linux or bazzite for sure

The problem is solved by manualy selecting a version of proton for this special game before installing it. Then steam requests the normal windows files

so for what ever reason steam thinks there is to this time a native version of the game and downlaods it. done. i can imagine the repositorys of the game developer are empty and it has 0 files. Dont know if the game developers are to blame and maybe did some wrong configuration or if it is a steam bug.

It realy has to do with this game. Or maybe the bug could happen to other games with linux support as well. This game had linux support back in the days but it got removed.

I have installed the win btrfs drivers under windows and mounted it like the docs article shows. But i never realy used Windows and Steam together with that partition. I have write access/permission to the partition.

Error on first boot?
i can imagine you need to go into your BIOS/UEFI Firmware setup by pressing some hotkey at boot (back in the days it was DEL but now it depends, your computer shows maybe something to press for it on early start!) and disable secure boot there. if thats the problem like renner is asuming, if that helps you should enroll the MOK Key for the new secureboot after the setup (you get promted on screen for that, just click enroll mok the password is universalblue) and reenable secureboot after succesfull install in BIOS/UEFI/Firmware.

not sure if that is compareable since im not sure if ntfs is open source. btrfs is open source so people can develop btrfs drivers for every operating system that allows third party drivers. Ok soory dont want do start a discussion here, in my usecase it makes no problem since weeks of shared usage.

in my opinion that dos not matter because the driver is designed to do. windows is designed to use third party drivers for devices right? also devices like storage ssd, hdd, sticks etc. so if the driver is ok windows can do handle the device and the storage i think ✌️

its easy to do. the only tricky part for me was the creation with the grub live system that worked not for me but maybe you can create the btrfs partition in bazzite.

nah it emplements the opensource btrfs type of filesystem. only why it is not from Microsoft means not that its bad or bugy. i use this solution with shared btrfs drive like from the vido from mike and it works great so far

How do you enter steam gaming mode from the desktop image?
You could use Steam Big Picture Mode. Right click on steam and than select Big Picture Mode, it hink there is a option somewhere in steam to start right into Big Picture Mode
