Maybe it wasn’t the motor after all but the extension cable I had to extend the motor cable to the controlboard. Hooked the new motor up to the extension and it behaved the same as before with the old motor. Wire was quite thin, gonna use some thicker wire and retry

So I bought a new pancake stepper motor and hooked it up to a different slot just to make sure. that one does spin and at all feedrates. So it was probably just a coincidence that the stepper motor died at the same time as I did the update from RatOS 1.2.4 to 2.1. Will assemble everything later today and hope I can get back to printing

with most feedrates it doesnt spin at all, even if I seperate the motor from the gearbox. it just jitters

I'll shut it off and replace the Extruder Stepper driver, maybe that just failed

I just tested different feedrates and at most feedrates it doesnt even spin at all

not sure what amperage it ran at before, but the configuration now says 0,707 A

once I add the planetary gears it doesn’t spin anymore even though I can turn the planetary gears really easily by hand. Does the orbiter not get enough power?
