so after reboot, the initial login screen is not supposed to work with howdy. you need to login at least once via password.

There is a way to wipe the partitions via Bazzite installer, but it might not let you. Bazzite's installer, anaconda, kinda sucks

Ohh, ok. Then most likely windows is blocking the install. If you need a UI, live boot a distro like Linux Mint off of USB, and use the disk manager for to wipe all the partitions before attempting to install Bazzite.
