bazzite UC scaling issues

I turned on bazzite on Rog ally and the UI became double the size then when I clicked a game it said decky error. So I've uninstalled decky and the game mode UI is stil very large. What do I do?

Hi, I just had the same issue, hopefully we can find a solution without having to wipe the console. Edit: maybe it's related to the latest update according to this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Bazzite/s/vvqOUvhywx

This is due to Valve forcing scaling in the latest steam update. You can enable display scaling options in steam, and try scaling it down.

I didn't notice any difference

This workaround does not work, the UI is still larger than the usual.

🤔 did you change the display scaling options after enabling it? you still need to change your display scaling after enabling the setting. In settings, under display you should now see Steam deck display scaling. Disable Automatically Scale user interface, and adjust manually

I swear, on my ROG Ally this option only shows up when the console is docked, otherwise is missing. I have no idea why.

you can also try enabling Steam developer mode, and then enabling the display scaling options for the integrated screen there it will show some new sliders

Ok, I had to enable developer options as @Lixo suggested and now I can adjust the setting. Thank you @Lixo and @Aru for the support!

Dev option > show display scaling settings for internal display (as to be on) > display setting > disable automatically scale User interface and set it to you liking (I find 50% to be perfect on the ally)
