I unfortunately do not super know what im doing when it comes to ebay/second hand suit shopping (that probably applies to first hand too lol). Do you think this is the case for linen coats as well?

Would this military replica smock work in place of J Crew's military inspired smock?

Thanks for the replies. It did look pretty close, but I was unsure if replica material can work as non-reenacting clothing, but it sounds like from yall that it can just the same as original surplus/etc

for this, should I stay on the side of more "casual" long sleeve button downs, like a summer linen shirt or basically things that arent normal dress shirts? or anything is game

noted. I tried some of my wardrobe with them and was kind of iffy, but maybe thats because i wasnt using much plain color stuff? otherwise I wouldnt really know what to say felt off about the pairings
