Highest Quality Suede/Rough Out Leather Trucker Jackets?
I'm highly skeptical about the longevity of any suede pieces since most use split suede. Unless a rough out or full reverse suede is used, the lack of grain leads to the looser corium fibers separating over time. With split suede being a technically inferior composition of leather, I'm shocked by the absurdly high prices of some of these jackets. Many are genuine leather or split suede which lacks that grain pattern. But of course, as with many pieces these days, you often pay for the innovation of the look over the technical quality or artisanship. Being conscious about the quality of leather makes the shopping process tougher. I'd like to purchase a jacket using full reverse suede.
@raisin I'm very hesitant to use grailed at this price point. With so many of these jackets looking like blown out paper bags in person, it's hard to commit to a non-refundable purchase without the ability to first try on the garment. I've had far too many grailed blunders as it is. I'm looking at you, satin van Noten pants that make me look like a stuffed sausage. 😒 LOVE the Fortela, but not quite the style I'm going for. The YMC is sexy.
@upsett1_spaghett1 🍝 BIFL quality in regards to overall craftsmanship and not using a split suede leather. I wasn't born yesterday. These Savas jackets are gorgeous. Unfortunately, the majority are about two thousand dollars out of my price range.
