yes i understand it isnt installed out of the box. i was trying to figure out these autorun scripts or startup process.

so while unsupported there is no way to get help switching to x11. to test some of these issues. i have to make my own image or go back to steamos.

Its a lot. controller issues. not being able to use scroll wheel bindings. keyboard not always showing in desktop mode. steam needs to be relaunched from desktop mode. no on screen keyboard alternative for wayland.
ui glitching. especially on game launch in gamemode. for example, the ui that slides in/out that shows the logo will repeat over a few times. external display issues.

Update steam from gamemode does not work.
However, I just found that my EFI partition was full. That partition needs to be written to before a firmware update it seems. expanded from 64 to 128MiB to be safe and the system updated no errors.
